Guys I have yet to attend a MGL meeting for one of two reasons - they were scheduled when I could not attend or they just never get scheduled........

David Collins and I were talking and we seem to be able to get 6 or so area guys (Ann Arbor) together nearly every month for a lunch and sometimes more.

My take on this is that in the past a great deal of the responsibility for the meetings was placed on Brian (who I met at HGF) and by doing so we make this a much bigger deal for him then it needs to be.

So with this in mind and if David agrees why don't we schedule a meeting for March in Ann Arbor. Anyone and everyone who wants to attend is welcome. And if David agrees we can have the meet at both his shop and my condo.

So I threw it out there - let's discuss?

BTW my understanding of the Michigan Guild of Luthiers is that you don't have to live in Michigan so everyone is invited.

Yah, thanks Hesh and David! I tried to spark some interest back last fall, but would not have been able to host a meeting. Oh sure, the location is good (middle of the mitten), but my shop is at a standstill, and with no heat it's a bit chilly! :shock: I still have a bunch of hammers from a piano I disassembled. Would anyone be interested, I'd be happy to bring them along. :) Plus, it's about all I'd be able to contribute. ;)
